The only "score" higher than John Zurek's 100-7x Slow Fire was the temperature.

In Sunday’s NRA Registered Bullseye 2700 at the Phoenix Rod & Gun Club, John Zurek raised the mark on three National* records in the Civilian, Outdoor category:

  • 199-11x – Slow Fire Match, Center Fire (199-10x, D R Young, Winterburn CN, 06/20/1976)
  • 895-56x – Center Fire 900 (893-55x, D R Young, Winterburn CN, 06/20/1976)
  • 2679-167x – 2700 Aggregate (2677-154x, C E Baxter, Argyle TX, 07/05/1987)

  1. And, such a nice guy! Living proof the old saying, “If he can do it, I can do it.” is complete nonsense.

I did take a look at the national records. You can see them as inspirational, or depressing, depending on how your day is going.
