Ammo: Fire, Impact and Explosion

What happens if a case of ammo is dropped 65 feet, struck by a fired shot, exposed to the detonation of a blasting cap, ground under the tread of a bulldozer or torched in a fire?

See YouTube to find out.

A sleeve of primers and a couple of 8 lb kegs of Bullseye would also have been interesting but, at least for completed ammunition, the bottom line seems to be that if your storage is vented, it’s not as dangerous as many would fear. (But it is noisy!)

And now we know where some of that huge government purchase of ammunition went.
