Work began last October with the outline. A month later, the first chapter appeared on the blog. With one break, first drafts of subsequent chapters have appeared each week, early on Saturday morning. The final chapter, Thirty Three: Epilogue, will appear on August 12th completing the nearly nine month (!) effort.
“It’s your baby,” my wife said.
And just like a human baby, this one will need a lot of nurturing. Already, it needs a diaper changed. Several of them, because the darn thing oozes from every orifice and stinks to high heaven.
But it’s a beginning. It has hair, fingers and toes. All the appendages are in the right place and working correctly, albeit too frequently and without control.
Hopefully most of those problems will be corrected in the edit or, as some prefer to call it, the re-write because there is much to be done.
Regardless, it’s a good beginning.
