The story includes 99,136 words. [550,238 characters!] That’s longer than a “standard novel” that runs about 80,000 words. Fortunately, I’m told that first drafts *should* be long because a lot of it will be cut in the editing process.
That’s next. After a short break, I’ll start editing the novel. I already know several dozen things that need to change or be enhanced or shrunk. There’s a lot to do.
When the editing is complete, then it’ll be time to decide if and how to market the book. As a new author, I’ll be competing with thousands of other “wanna be” authors to get an agent, find a publisher and so forth.
Another option would be to market the book through Amazon as a Kindle book. That is a very attractive alternative. Even so, it’s not a slam-dunk. There are still hoops through which I’ll need to jump.
Look for updates here (at flat5.net) as the editing proceeds and decisions are made.
Regardless, thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy the ending!
